Hey I'm Rebecca! Welcome to my website and thank you for being here. I am a user experience designer and digital strategist with a strong digital skill-set in:

Ultimately, all of my work is about helping people craft effective, meaningful digital experiences because the Internet is a super powerful tool and my top objective is to leverage it for real, positive change.
My ambitious origins
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, played a lot of volleyball, geeked out in academics, played viola in orchestra and rock bands, and built computers with my dad from a young age. As part of the millennial generation (a term every millennial cringes at btw), I embraced tech culture early and especially loved to use the Internet to meet people from all over the world. These exchanges had a profound impact on my perception of other cultures and sparked a big desire in me to travel abroad and study languages.
I graduated with a BA in European Studies and International Relations from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009, having spent about half my undergrad experience studying in Spain and Germany. I landed my first post graduation job in China working at the USA Pavilion during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. (Yes, there still is such a thing as the world's fair, it still happens every 5 years.) That project was the largest public diplomacy mission the US has ever undertaken, reaching over 7 million Chinese citizens in our 6 months of operation.
Breaking into tech
While I was extremely grateful to have found an incredible opportunity in the middle of the Great Recession, and enjoyed so many amazing experiences that came from working at the World Expo, the reality struck me that technology was playing a larger, more pervasive role to truly connect the world and move our societies forward than traditional government operations.
Long story short, I returned from China and then spent a few months soul searching and learning to live more sustainably on an ashram in Argentina. I came home to San Antonio with new eyes, new spirit, and found my way into digital marketing consulting and entrepreneurship. After working with award winning digital marketing agencies and consultancies for a couple years, I founded Conversion-Culture LLC in early 2013 to serve as a holding company for my own digital ventures. Today I work with incredible clients and colleagues locally and world wide. I mastermind with a powerful lady mafia of digital entrepreneurs regularly. And I love deploying my super nerd strengths to help other entrepreneurs, organizations and businesses ascend in the digital world.
If you have a project you would like to explore together, please don't hesitate to book a free consult. If you want to get to know me better, follow me on social media and drop a line. If you are actually still reading this far through my about page, I honestly would love to get to know you. Make it happen!
